Another Current Event Day!

Current Event Day:

The articles is about US current news it talks about how a law is taking forever to pass. On how obama care is taking forever people dont want this law to pass because its taking away a lot of moeny and it isnt helping them its mostly the rich that disagree with it passing. For example Congress fails to agree on a budget and pass a spending bill, causing the government to shut down. The failure to pass a bill is largely due to a standoff over the Obama care. Republicans show no signs of backing down, passing a new bill of their own in the House. Obama a plan to increase the debt limit through Nov. 22 if he promises to negotiate with them on a tax overhaul and long-term deficit reduction deal. If Obama agrees, the debt ceiling increase proposal may come to a vote in the House within twenty-four hours. Currently, the government is scheduled to hit its debt ceiling on October 17.

Final Blog Post of the First Semester

1.  Through the project topic you have chosen for your final assignment, what change do you hope to see in your community?

I see that we can actually change something if we give put awareness in the community and if we educate adult and should them that we can actually fight and make a difference. We can have meetings and also push students in school to go to programs to take them away from trouble and keep the m busy but also make it fun and they can actually do there school work.Show them how important education is and what difference it can do to young peoples life.

2.  How will you demonstrate that this problem currently exists in your community?  It is important to recognize that your audience might not be made up entirely of people who are familiar with the issue.  If you can, give specific examples (even facts) that show the issue either has and/or currently does exist!

Well most people in the community know that there is trouble people are in drugs or drinking there is shootings and they are scared and i know people want to stop its just about telling people and doing it

3.  What is one way that you, personally, can help change, fix or bring awareness to this issue in your community!

We can hang out paper and also talk to people in the school that they should talk about how gangs arent good and tell them at a young age from other schools so that they know better they should have different options and try to make kids not want to get into this because some school like bell haven have had bad reports in the past and isnt a good shcool so they should give more awerness and tell kids to stay away from that because those kids are already wanting to get into trouble because of peers and other people.

This quotes means that do not judge someone by there job or success  judge someone by there strength  the weakness that they overcame to get where they are today that whats makes a person successful and a better person falling down and being able to get back up and keep ahead is the strongest thing a person can do. A person isn't a bad person if they show weakness the important part is being able to get back up and not give up.

Staying Focused and Being Consistent!

It means once you have dream and want something out of life in the moments that it comes true you need to stay more focused it doesn't matter what people say life is yours. You make it whatever you want out of it. It's on you and you follow what you feel is best for you there is people that support him or tell him wrong you got to do what you feel. You have to put effort and time in what you love at all time because you never know what. Will happen. Do what makes you happy and it must be very important to you

Current Event Round 6 Happens Today!

A issue that happens a lot is car accidents weather it drunk driving for whatever a lot of people are dying or getting really hurt. Driving should be stricter and people should be more cautious when driving people die everyday because of driving. In San Francisco people died in a car addicts it's was with motorcycle and it was very sad. We need to find something to stop it now because this shouldn't be a issues.

So far my responsibility are to go to school get good grades but I also have other things I have 2 dogs that are mine and I take care of I watch over and I probated everything for them but soon I'm going to have more I have to sign up for college I have to get a job get my drivers liences go to school and still take care of my dogs and my personal life right now it seems like a lot but once everything comes into place hopefully everything isn't too hard and I actually have balances. Once I'm in college it's going to be very different in some ways I want to save up money and want to be successful in school.
  At this point I don't have any responsibility in my community only to vote I'm guessing.

It means that at the end of the day it doesn't matter weather you say your thankful for something it's actually showing appertain everyday and proving to what you are thankful for. It's all about the person and what they mean to you. Proving they they really do matter. Giving thanks means a lot.


My plans are to clean the house also spend the beginning with my family and Ernesto then at the end of the dinner we are spending time with Ernesto's family and take kodi with us. It's the first time  I spend time away from home but I am happy I am spending time with his family and hopefully everything goes good

Serving You Community (Part II)

In my community and also the community that I live by I have noticed a lot of animals that have been left on street not being well taken care of and homeless animals. This is something that should be taken care of because animals don't deserve  that. My front neighbors had there pitbull loose that dog was never will socialized it barks again people it was sad and scary because you don't know what to do whenever I would take my dog out for walks I would be scared that he will attack my dogs or start something. Now that dog is always tied up in the front never is off the chain the human society came to there house but it didn't do much the people would lie to animal resources and they can't do anything thy have to believe then if animal is getting food and water.  In east palo there is so many dogs that are very skinny and look like they are going to die it so sad people don't take care of there dogs or cats the animals are very scared. People need to take care of there animals also a lot of people buy don't adopt and the can actually help out animals more then making a bigger problem people buy  pure-breed dogs and breed them and most dogs don't get permeant homes and end up in shelters or died

Serving Your Community!

Things that teenagers can do to help the community would be volunteering in a animal shelter or a homeless shelter helping out older people by visiting or even bringing food for them collecting cans for people in need also I have worked with children in the boys and girls club and a senior center answering phones and helping out with paper work. You can fun raise money and give it to a children hospital

Issues in the community is when there's people in house smoking outside bring people in and out of there house people that aren't good just appear and start making problems and they drink they sell drugs and just bring problems there's kids in the street that see what is going on and is a bad example to everyone it happens all the time they just bring trouble and one day can actually affect us they could shoot someone or someone that doesn't like them might come and shoot them and stuff like that  it's a scary thing honestly something bad can happen if people live next to them. There is also other problems that may happen

Current Bills in Congress

H.R.1125 : Veterinary Medicine Loan Repayment Program Enhancement Act 
The author of this bill is Rep Schrader Kurt
The purpose is to help out people that want to become a veterinarian and don't have that much money and get loan the loan help people come-together so that the loan can in fact be excused once they are finished  
To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide for an exclusion for assistance provided to participants in certain veterinary student loan repayment or forgiveness programs.
It helps the people and students that want to purpose there dreams to make it in reality. 
The bill is doing good for the country it is helping everyone out and making things happen for the better for college or any type students. 
No it's not being dived up 
They have about 15 people that need to be in fact with help it can change different things.
This. Could in fact impact me since I do want to be a veterinarian and it can give me more open doors and less stress since it takes a lot of years to be a vet and which mean a lot of money spent in school it can help out other people who want the same thing but don't have money 

Your Idea can Become a Law!

Congress then a bill then a law house of rep and they need to vote then White House president needs to sign

They first have to come up with a good idea or law and if congress feels as if it's a good law then then they make it a bill then they have to take it to the house of rep and if they agree it's a good idea people need to vote if they vote no. Then it has to start all over if they vote yes it goes to the White House and the president has to make the last descion  and signs it or not if he does it becomes a law

It's important to know this process so that we know everything on how a law is passed also to see if we as people are actually being heard we need to know these types of things it can happen and it's possible to make change happen

The US Constitution consists of seven articles and 27 amendments. The original seven articles took effect in 1789. The 27 amendments were added to the Constitution from 1791 to 1992. The first ten amendments were enacted in 1791; they are often called "the bill of rights." It is very likely that more amendments will be added. In the rights it protects us from people taking advantage of others it let us have tights and some to be protected but in the other hand the law doesn't take care of anything we are controlled by them. They give us rights but at the same time they take them away from us which inst fair we have the right to do anything we feel like doing and we also have to be taken care of. we can vote and we can do anything but we have to be one the right of it.

62% of the people should vote yes for the law to pass or not

it should pass because it has to do with schools and i feel like money should be spent on school and not on other things that arent as important

Getting Back On Track

My three day weekend was bad I was so sick I missed 2 days of school before that I have been sick for at least a week I feel a lot better but still feel under the weather my head is hurting. I just stayed home most of the time but Saturday I went to a football game and went out to eat my weekend was relaxing but it's not fun being sick at all.

My goal is to taught up with all my missing work and do all my homework and stay on top of things I don't want my grades to drop I want As and Bs nothing lower maybe one C im going to a commiunty college my goal is to get as many scholarships i can. Im thinking of going to san mateo college i just want to get all my classes then trasforn to a four year as soon as possible

A Blogger Day About You!

My perfect day would be waking up at my parents house with my two babies Maxx and Kodiak I would get ready and take them to the dog park or for a walk. After I'll take a shower and get ready for school I would already be in 4 year it mostly going to be half done with school to become a vet. I would probably already have a job or internship with a vet clinic. I'll be a full time student and work everyday or some days of the week. My free time will be spent with the dogs and boyfriend which maybe by that time I'll will provably get engaged or already be engaged. I'll probably stay engaged until after I graduate or  until I have a stable job so I'm thinking 27 or 28. My life will be all about school and staying on top of everything also my little family I'll being saving up to move out to buy house I'm thinking of staying with my parents until I'll be able to buy a house my boyfriend and I will be saving money.  After I graduate I'll be a vet or a vet tech which will be my wish come true. I haven't decided on which one but I'll be one of theses.

This is something i will want to happen the ages might not be expect but in the end I do see my future being like this. It's my goal and I'll will make it happen.


 I have my families support I have friends that support me and I also have my boyfriend and his family for support which I am thankful for. I know have resources which I will be also looking at.

I've been through so much in my life that I'm pretty motivated to make it happen I truly know that's what I want and am working towards.

10 I'm very motivated high school was a tough year for me but I never gave up after and I did my everything and I just see me going further in life and making it come true.

Deliberation and Negotiations - Continued

A disagreement my family has had was probably when we were trying to figure out if some cousins of mine should move in. Since there parents are not in the right track one of them is a drug dealer and has a lot of problems involving gangs and other things. The other one just does whatever her husbands tells her so all her children were taken away from her and are in a foster home they wanted to ask my parents if we could take them in but we don't really talk to that family And that family has a lot problems that we don't want to get involved in also the kids aren't very good they are crazy and do whatever they want our family is small and we aren't use to all that so I personally didn't want them living with us even If they were family. It's just going to be more stress for everyone we only have enough rooms for my family right now and we never shared rooms with anyone. So it was a big topic to talk about.

Hey, King: Get Off Our Backs!

In my life as a senior in high-school i have found that in this point of my life i need to start growing up and make my own decision through out my life i have made simple de but now its my time to grow up and be independent. Now i feel as if it very important to make choices in your life so i will be upset if i couldn't because we need to be able to be our own person
They did it because they want to give people there own rights that they deserve but they gave us enough to be happy but at the same it be able to have control of the people so things dont get out of hand.

Field trip

In shoreline it was very fun and kind of sad it was a bittersweet feeling. since its senior year it was my last year in the trip it was very fun i was mostly in the water enjoying my time relaxing we also went and rested in the benches i had a great time with my friends i also tried new things but the trip went by to fast i felt as if they should make it the whole day because thinking of it when your a senior its a great bonding time to be around your peers also feels as if they should have had more fun activities for the seniors since it the last day. The quarter ending is very stressful my only really bad grade is math but im not to happy with my government grade i feel like it should be better since i try my best and do all my work

This weekend I don't have any plans I might just hangout with my family and relax. Cesar Chavez was a hero to his people. He fought for his working rights he also was a leader he lead his people to be in a work strike so that they would be heard and have rights. He helped people that worked in farm labor to get will payed and have more rights as people he went on strike and he went to in strike with different people and they fought for who they believed in and he made it he made a huge difference and he actually made a difference he became a hero

Project Review

I felt as my group did a good job but I feel as if we didn't have that much time to research and make our project better we were rushed so that's why I feel as if we were put in an awkward situation I feel like we choose good people. We could improve our time management to try to finish fast and not be as rushed in the end. A problem we need to address is school in different places because everyone says that education is a big part of having a successful life which is becoming true but a lot of kids in different places don't have a good education at all they don't school support or have the materials needed. We need to think of something to make a change because it won't be fair. Education is a right and its up to that person to make the best out of it.

1.The purpose of the march was for people to talk about why they African Americans should have rights and talk to the people so that they had the word out of what's really going on

2. He was just suppose to talk about this other speech but then a lady talked and said talk about the dream and instead of taking for 4 mins he talked for at least 15 He was the last speaker and was the one that had the most attention he was the one that made a big difference

3.people started reaching out and having more hope and wanting to make a huge difference they wanted there own rights

4. A lot of people got tried of what was going on even some white people were tried of how poorly african Americans were treated things ere getting out of hand and they wanted to do something about it.

Greenpeace

The Greenpeace is an organization that started from three men Bob hunter was a journalist that allayed pushed people to think big but also to make something bigger then that. Due Process

Due process is something that protects you  it's gives you the right to speak whatever you like and other things like the different amendments it serves as the mean whereby the bill of rights has become binding on state government also with the federal government it's also the common law rule that individuals shall not be deprived of life liberty or property without notice and an opportunity. That's the only thing I know about the due process.

Government Shutdown

I heard about the government getting shutdown that it affects people that work at parks and other places basically people that get paid by government are affected. It's because some people don't want Obama care to happen but they don't understand that it is affecting people and their families now they aren't getting paid or some aren't even going to school. This has been affecting a lot of people some people might not even have enough to pay or rent or etc. I don't understand why the government has to do something like this. It may affect some of my family members but I'm not sure I haven't talked to anyone that may be affected by it.

A Thinking Man (or Woman

At the moment I don't mind how everything is but I'm not an adult yet so I don't really know everything is I am a high school student and I'm not on my own I don't vote and I really don't know what's out there yet buy when it comes to my friends if I do see something I don't like I do in fact stand for myself and look for something that will change it for the better for example for animals I strongly believe in animal rights and If I see them get mistreated I will in fact do something about it and make it stop. If it really affects me then of course ill make a change and so will my friends.we can do different things like protest and make meetings with other people that care.

The right to think

I feel that it's good that people have the right to think whatever they feel like thinking about  because if we were all the same and couldn't say what we believe  in it would be a mess everyone would probably hate each other and people will always be fighting and we wont pay attention to what really matters it's okay to have different opinions and its okay stand up to them. We can teach people different and they don't have to believe in it but at least they are opened minded.

Beginning the 2nd Half of the 1st Quarter

My choices was an article of Michel Jackson today wasn't my turn to present but I wanted to do a fun article so I decided to do this one it was fun and when Michel died years ago it was a huge this everyone went crazy and wanted to know what actually happened and how he died. It changed the music in the world it made a huge difference it also made people worry. His death was strange and it happened out of nowhere many thought it was the nurse fault it's important to people that care about music because he was one of the best singers of all time.

Inherit the WInd Act 1, Scene 1

The setting was just like the witch craft story I read a couple years ago it was a very religious city it was a small town everyone knew everyone they all know the new people that come in into town. I haven't been to town that reminds me of the town yet but the town seems judge mental in many ways. it is a city that everyone knows everyone it reminds me of a book i read in ms solomon class about witches but its about a different problem its about a small town that is very strict about there rules everyone knows everything that goes on.

Current event topic

It's important because most of us don't really know what is going on and I feel as if it is important because it may affect us and the people around us. For example last weekend I didn't know about the war that may happen and it was good that I found out because it is very important to know this about my country. current events are very important since some people dont know anything that is going on and its important because it some how affects a family or friend or even everyday people you might now in this class im starting to know why its important to know how everything is happening because before i didn't really know what was going on

I believe that our society isn't perfect we have a. Lot to do. Even though we gone a long way from the past we still need have something's to work on for example people need to help people have a bigger education people say that education is very important but there are a lot of people that want to go to college but can't because of money and also they might not have papers and can't continue there education. Yes I think one person can make a difference if they try there hardest. It is possible.

Starbucks

My article is about Starbucks it's about how Starbucks at first wasn't known as it is today. When the company Starbucks came out no one really liked but then Starbucks got frappacions but still it didn't make a big difference until 15 years later because it started being well known. What people are saying is that it takes a lot of time to make something popular Starbucks wasn't a big hit at first it wasn't a big deal until later in the years it actually became poplar and more people were interested by it

The Worst Thing A Man Can Do

In the video I couldn't really see the faces of the people that were in the video but I do agree with this man those people that were in the wall had great beliefs and they did everything possible to fight for it. Those people had hardships but they fought for their people and themselves. It gives people hope and see that everything is possible. Social justices is fighting for what you believe in having faith and hope that everyone of any color has all the rights white people have.

All About Me - Post 2

My name is Kimberly. I am seventeen years old and a senior.  I am friendly but shy. My life is quiet simple nothing crazy I mostly always spend time with my boyfriend I usually always go out doing different things. I enjoy going on long walks and bike riding. I have 2 furbabies Maxx and Kodiak. Kodiak is a one year old German Shepherd, Maxx is a two year old Husky. They love going to petstores going to the beach and the dog park. I love being with Maxx and Kodiak I take them everywhere I can. I love animals

I didn't really do anything to prepare for school. It's just another year for me. This year is going to be stressful I have a lot to do. I need to pass all my classes so that I can go to a four year. I need to make up some classes online also. My goal this year is to pass all the classes I will have to do and at least be accepted to one four year college.
